The two sections of a bridge on the Chongqing-Kunming railway were joined on October 30 in Luzhou City, southwest China's Sichuan Province, pushing ahead the transportation project that will slash the travel time between the two cities from five hours to two. Upon completion, the railway will further improve China's transportation network, facilitate people's travel and promote high-quality socio-economic development of areas along the line.
