A runaway ostrich that escaped from a farm and made a mad dash down a busy city road left onlookers stunned by screeching to a stop in front of a red light, seemingly keen to obey local traffic laws. The ostrich has now been returned to its rightful home, with staff keeping watchful supervision over the bird in case it launches another bid for freedom after its daring escape. An investigation into just how the ostrich was able to go on the run is underway, even though the farm owner suspects he may simply have accidentally left a door open.
