'Wild donkeys' of Tibet gallop in snow in NW China

A group of Equus kiang or wild kiang, an animal endemic to the Tibet-Qinghai Plateau, were captured on camera galloping on the meadow after snow on October 5. Under top-class state protection, the animal is a wild member of the horse family, but according to China's National Forest and Grassland Administration, locals call them wild donkeys. Other common names include the Tibetan wild ass.
