Chinese President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, presented the Friendship Medal of the People's Republic of China (PRC) to Vietnam's communist party chief Nguyen Phu Trong at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Monday. Xi said the medal represents the profound friendship of "comrades plus brothers" between China and Vietnam.
