The improved ecological environment in Beijing has made it possible to photograph Japanese white-eyes in the city's suburbs during autumn.

The Japanese white-eye is olive green on its back, from anterior to posterior, and is pale green on its underside. Its feet, legs and bill range from black to brown. It has a green forehead and a yellow throat. They are agile in the forest, jumping through the branches and hiding among the dense foliage, making them difficult to spot. The bird mainly feeds on insects and some plants.
