Seven ships carrying agricultural products left Ukrainian Black Sea ports on Thursday, a day after the resumption of a grain deal aimed at delivering Ukrainian food to foreign markets, the Ukrainian infrastructure ministry said.
The vessels were loaded with 290,000 tonnes of food products and were headed towards European and Asian countries, the ministry said in a statement without elaborating.
"The main result of 3 month Black Sea Grain Initiative is 10 mln tons of Ukrainian agricultural products sent to 43 countries. New 7 vessels carried out grain from Ukraine's ports in the morning. No matter what continues to support the world in overcoming food crisis," tweeted Oleksandr Kubrakov, Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine.
Türkiye later confirmed that the grain corridor traffic resumed, but said six grain ships left Ukraine's ports on Thursday.
"After the resumption of the grain initiative, six ships left Ukrainian ports," Turkish Defence Minister Hulusi Akar was quoted as saying by the official Anadolu news agency.
