The permanent site of the World Laureates Forum will be officially unveiled in Shanghai on November 4. It's been built with the aim of promoting international communication and cooperation in science and technology. Wang Siwen tells us more.
WANG SIWEN Shanghai "A tailor-made structure for the world's brightest, after 15 months of construction, the permanent site for the World Laureates Forum is finally ready to be launched in the Lingang Special Area of the city of Shanghai in east China."
With a total construction area of 228,000 square metres, the site aims to become a landmark for the WLA Science Community, top international scientists and research talents.
"Behind me is the main venue. Covering over 3,000 square meters, it can accommodate nearly 3,000 people for conferences. Besides the main venue, there are also ballrooms, and a summit hall.
"The site integrates cultural and entertainment facilities such as conference and exhibition halls, theater, banquet halls, digital libraries, and special areas for commercial performances."
The architectural project is part of Shanghai's efforts to gather top-notch scientists from around the world to help the city become a scientific innovation hub with global influence. WSW, CGTN, SHANGHAI.
