Chinese President Xi Jinping delivered a speech via video at the opening ceremony of the fifth China International Import Expo (CIIE) and the Hongqiao International Economic Forum on Friday in Shanghai.

Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, noted that China will promote economic globalization, enhance the development of all countries, and let everyone in every country benefit more from the fruits of development in a more equitable way.
