Hua Yuchen is a music teacher in Ganghua Elementary School, Wuhan City, central China's Hubei Province. After the COVID-19 outbreak in her home city, Hua joined in volunteer work to help fight the epidemic in Wuhan. She transported medical staff to and from work, took temperatures of drivers at toll stations and served as a broadcaster at a makeshift hospital. She also organized her students to record a Chinese choral song, "Brightest Star in the Night Sky," to cheer up the people suffering from the epidemic. Hua is a member of the Communist Party of China. "After joining in the Party, I felt that I should do a good job," she said.
