Small eastern Chinese city attracts hundreds of German companies

East China's city of Taicang is less than an hour's drive northwest of Shanghai. The county-level city, which has a population of 800,000, is home to over 450 German-funded enterprises, nearly one tenth of the overall number of German companies operating in China.
