China's foreign trade of goods expanded 9.5 percent year on year to 34.62 trillion yuan (about $4.79 trillion) during the first 10 months of the year, official data showed Monday.

Exports rose 13 percent year on year to 19.71 trillion yuan, while imports increased 5.2 percent to 14.91 trillion yuan, according to the General Administration of Customs.

Official data showed that China's trade with major partners expanded in the same period.

The country's trade with ASEAN, its largest trading partner, increased by 15.8 percent to 5.26 trillion yuan, accounting for 15.2 percent of China's total trade during the period.

Trade with its second-largest trading partner European Union grew to 4.68 trillion yuan, up 8.1 percent from a year earlier.

China's trade with the countries along the Belt and Road jumped by 20.9 percent to 11.23 trillion yuan, including 21.4 percent growth in exports and 20.3 percent growth in imports, official data showed.
