The Chinese mainland recorded 569 confirmed COVID-19 cases on Sunday, with 535 attributed to local transmissions and 34 from overseas, data from the National Health Commission showed on Monday.
A total of 5,074 asymptomatic cases were also recorded on Sunday, and 35,255 asymptomatic patients remain under medical observation.
The cumulative number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland is 264,123, with the death toll from COVID-19 standing at 5,226.
The latest tally of confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan region is as follows:
Hong Kong: 438,627 (92,863 recoveries, 10,470 deaths)
Macao: 795 (787 recoveries, six deaths)
Taiwan: 7,887,538 (13,742 recoveries, 13,198 deaths)
