At least 24 people were killed in a collision between a bus carrying several students and a truck in western Guinea, local media reported on Sunday, citing the government's statement.

The bus was travelling from the capital Conakry to Faranah in the southwest. The accident occurred near Kindia, Guinea's fourth largest city some 130 kilometers (80 miles) east of Conakry.
