Angkor Wat is one of the most important archaeological sites in Cambodia, Southeast Asia. However, its monuments have been included on the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) List of World Heritage in Danger. Thus, UNESCO has set up a wide-ranging program to safeguard this symbolic site and its surroundings.
In response, the Chinese government actively participated in the Angkor Conservation International Action, sending restorers to the country for nearly 30 years. CGTN's Tang Bo brings you to one of the monuments restored by China and takes a closer look at the targeted protection measures for the relics and the unique role of cultural relic work in promoting exchanges and mutual learning beyond.
