Two 400-year-old ginkgoes in Beijing's Zizhuyuan Park show an enchanting golden color. They were once burned by fire, but they are still growing strong.
The ginkgo tree, also known as the white fruit tree, is one of the world's rare tree species and is the oldest surviving seed plant, making it a "living fossil" of the plant world. Ginkgo trees grow slowly and have a long life span, more than 20 years from planting to fruiting under natural conditions, and are the oldest of the trees.
The ginkgo tree is also "China's Bodhi tree," which blooms in April, fruits in October and leaves in November. When the ginkgo leaves fall, it is like a phoenix dancing, and the whole tree is like a big umbrella, shading the green space and expanding the skyline of the courtyard.
Let's take a look!
