November 9 is the National Fire Prevention Day in China. A group of national and international journalists attended firefighting drills and activities conducted by the special service detachment of the Beijing Fire and Rescue Department or BFRC. Over 40 reporters attended the event.

"It was very impressive for me to watch all the technologies Chinese firemen use to rescue people," said Aniello Puorto, a correspondent of Radiotelevisione Italiana.

For ITN reporter Andrea Verdelli, the chemical plant and the rescue is "very impressive".
