After six days of events, the fifth China International Import Expo (CIIE) concluded on Thursday, with a total of $73.52 billion worth of tentative deals reached for one-year purchase of goods and services.

The value of tentative deals increased by 3.9 percent compared with last year.

This year's expo welcomed participants from 145 countries, regions and international organizations, with 284 Fortune 500 companies and industry leaders joining the exhibition.

More than 2,800 companies from 127 countries and regions participated in the enterprise exhibition which debuted 438 new products, technologies, and services.

This year, a brand-new digital expo platform enabled 368 technology and equipment companies to participate online. The platform hosted 64 live and recorded events and gathered over 600,000 views.

The CIIE has successfully held five sessions since 2018, serving as a platform to promote new development patterns, high-level opening-up and multilateralism, the expo's organizers said.
