The construction of high-standard farmland is accelerating in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
In Uqturpan County of Aksu Prefecture, agricultural departments are deploying machinery to a level of around 4,700 hectares of farmland and renovating 2,000 hectares to save water and cut costs.
In Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture, large patches of winter wheat have begun tillering, and farmers are irrigating crops with a water and fertilizer-integrated intelligent irrigation system.
