Shanghai extend winning streak as volleyball league matches split in cities

Shanghai swept Henan in straight sets to claim their third victory in the 2022-23 Chinese Women's Volleyball Super League in Changzhou, east China's Jiangsu Province on Saturday.

As the game's top scorers, spikers Zhong Hui and Gao Yi each earned 15 points to help Shanghai beat Henan 25-17, 25-22 and 25-16 in the women's Group B game.

Previously, Shanghai defeated Guangdong 26-16, 25-17, 23-25, 25-18 in the opener on November 10. Then, Shanghai continued their victory after overcoming Fujian in 21-25, 25-19, 25-19, 22-25 and 15-12, on November 11.

As the women's matches took place in Changzhou, the men's volleyball league group matches were held in the cities of Qinhuangdao and Wuyuan, in China's Hebei and Jiangxi provinces respectively.
