300 China-made new-energy vehicles (NEVs) from Chinese car maker SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile (SGMW) were unveiled at the 17th Group of 20 (G20) Summit being held in Bali, Indonesia as official vehicles.

Wuling Air EV, a new energy model under SGMW, was appointed as the official vehicle of the 17th G20 Summit to provide high-quality transit service to G20 delegates and staff members, according to a company statement.

According to the Indonesian government plan, the country is planning to reduce its carbon emissions by 31.89 percent by 2030.

"We will see more Air EV shuttling in Bali, and we hope Wuling will become an important part of the ecological development of electric vehicles in Indonesia," said Pratikno, Minister of State Secretariat of Indonesia.

SGMW, a joint venture between SAIC Motor, General Motors and Liuzhou Wuling Motors, is based in Liuzhou City in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

According to the company, as the first Chinese NEV landing in the Indonesian market, Wuling Air EV (right rudder version) has received more than 4,500 orders since its debut this August.

Occupying 85 percent of the Indonesian market, Wuling Air EV became NEV with the highest monthly sales volume in the country.
