Climate change and sustainable energy transition are major topics at the 17th G20 Summit. To better cope with global climate issues, China introduced green finance into the G20 agenda for the first time while holding the 11th G20 presidency in 2016.
Now, China's commercial banks are providing more certainty in the development of the sector by providing green loans to environmentally-friendly industries. This has attracted more foreign investors interested in potential benefits of China's green finance sector.
