Several Indonesian homemakers have preserved the Betawi traditional batik culture by establishing the Batik Betawi Tambora studio. These homemakers-turned artists work on batik products. They draw the patterns, then hook and color the fabric to create beautiful pieces. Meanwhile, the studio plays a great role in preserving batik culture and passing this tradition to younger generations.
