Praising Indonesia's efforts in hosting the G20 Summit, Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Wednesday that China will continue to support Indonesia in its role as the G20 president.

He made the remarks in a meeting with Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, coordinating minister of maritime and investment affairs of Indonesia, on the sidelines of the 17th G20 Summit in Bali, Indonesia.

Noting the visit of Indonesian President Joko Widodo to China in July, Wang said both leaders had achieved an important consensus and established both countries will go toward building a China-Indonesia community of shared future, which highlighted the high-level strategic mutual trust between the two countries.

China is willing to work together with Indonesia to ensure the upcoming meeting between both leaders to achieve fruitful results, Wang said.

As for his part, Luhut congratulated the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and wished China will achieve greater results in advancing modernization, especially in improving the well-being of the Chinese people.

Appreciating China's support to Indonesia's host of G20, Luhut said Indonesia will enhance exchanges and cooperation with China.

Indonesia is willing to strengthen quality cooperation with China in the Belt and Road Initiative, facilitate the realization of the common vision of building a China-Indonesia community of a shared future and lift the bilateral cooperation to a new level, Luhut said.
