Ten years ago, China faced serious environmental pollution. The concept of "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets" has been repeatedly emphasized since the 18th Communist Party of China National Congress. China's water resource quality, the development of clean and renewable energy, air quality and other environmental standards have made remarkable progress. The 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China made a new strategic plan for ecological conservation. It will be fully integrated into the strategies and actions for promoting China's economic and social development. "Polluting first and cleaning up later" is the traditional development philosophy, not suited for modernized development.
