Watch: APEC 2022 eyes global recovery

The 29th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders' Meeting is scheduled to take place from November 18 to 19 in Bangkok, Thailand. Over the past decades, countries in the Asia-Pacific have integrated economically, as it is evident by the signing of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) agreement. But the past three years have seen geopolitical tensions detract the benefits of unencumbered free trade. The APEC meetings provide an opportunity for state and business leaders to discuss challenges facing the region and the world, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, inflation and climate change. World Insight with Tian Wei speaks to Rebecca Sta Maria, executive director of APEC Secretariat, and Robert Moritz, global chairman of PwC, to find out how APEC can make a difference.
