China's central bank and foreign exchange regulator jointly issued a policy guideline on Friday to encourage overseas institutional investors to invest in China's bond market.
The country will unify its rules on cash accounts, cash payments and relative statistics for foreign investors, according to the guidelines.
The rules will take effect from January 1, 2023, according to the notice posted on the central bank's website.
