Beijing Financial Street is known as China's "Wall Street." Back in the Yuan and Ming dynasties, and the early Qing Dynasty, there were many banks and gold shops gathered there. It was a prosperous business district and financial center. In the first year of the Republic of China, the Ta Ching Government Bank located in the area was changed into the central bank, the Bank of China. In the early 1990s, Beijing officially set this district as its financial street. CGTN reporter Zhu Zhu takes you to learn more about the history and current status of Beijing Financial Street.
