The 2022 FIFA World Cup will kick off between the host Qatar and Ecuador at Al Bayt Stadium on November 20.

In the previous five editions of the tournament, only one reigning champions team was not eliminated in the group stage. France won the title in 1998 and then failed to reach the Round of 16 in 2002. Now that they won it again in 2018, will they repeat history?

Qatar 2022 will be the last World Cup for a series of star players, but most attention will go to Lionel Messi of Argentina and Cristiano Ronaldo of Portugal. How will the long-time rivals do in their "last dance"?

Legendary German manager Sepp Herberger had a famous quote: "The ball is round, the game lasts 90 minutes. Everything else is pure theory." The unpredictable sport always bears surprises. Which team will be the lucky, or unlucky one in Qatar?
