Here is a clip documenting the activities of a primary school teacher in Daidai village, one of the poorest villages in Southwest China's Guizhou Province. Though scenes of this kind are rarely seen in the urban areas we are familiar with, during China's poverty alleviation campaign, such efforts were an everyday reality for tens of thousands of rural teaching staff.
Devoting themselves to every impoverished area in China, reaching every child in need of education and making education the most lasting and effective measure to alleviate poverty, their efforts have helped break the intergenerational transmission of poverty and achieve the "No child left behind" goal. And what's more, their efforts continue.
