Strategic objects of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant (NPP) were hit by Ukrainian shelling, RIA reported on Sunday, citing an official from the Russian nuclear energy company Rosenergoatom.
Renat Karchaa, an adviser to the Rosenergoatom, told RIA that 12 missiles were fired by Ukraine directly at the plant and six hit the pool of the reactor cooling fountain, and two hit the storage facility of nuclear waste.
There's no immediate comment from Ukraine on targeting the plant.
