Captivating rime scenery has been decorating the banks of the Ganhe River in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region recently after a cold front brought rain and snow.
The forest and bush along the river are covered in white, while the river is not completely frozen. Dazzling rime is shining as it reflects from the sunshine in the early morning, presenting a fairyland in early winter.
Rime forms when water droplets in moist air freeze onto surfaces such as tree branches due to low temperature.
