A makeshift memorial grew outside a nightclub where a 22-year-old gunman opened fire late on November 19, killing five people and leaving 25 injured in the U.S. city of Colorado Springs. Two firearms, including a "long rifle," were found at the nightclub after the shooting, according to the local police chief.
Witnesses expressed their sorrow and questioned the safety of their community. "What I can't stop thinking about is the visuals of the evening, of the bodies, of the blood, of the broken glass, of the carnage and the wreckage, and seeing a safe place turned into a warzone," said Michael Anderson, a bartender at the nightclub.
