Xi says China to help benefit world with scientific development

China will work with other countries including developing nations to help people benefit from scientific prosperity and development. 

Chinese President Xi Jinping made the promise on Monday in a congratulatory letter to the 16th General Conference and the 30th General Meeting of the World Academy of Sciences for the advancement of science in developing countries (TWAS), which opened on Monday in Hangzhou City, east China's Zhejiang Province.

Xi said that China highly values the development of basic sciences and is willing to further enhance the openness, trust and cooperation of the international community of science and technology along with other countries.

The TWAS is a global science academy based in Trieste, Italy, working to advance science and engineering for sustainable prosperity in the developing world.
