The opening ceremony of China Media Group's (CMG) large-scale cultural documentary about the Wucheng Han Slips was held at Huzhou City Museum in Zhejiang Province on Monday.

Wucheng, a historical name, is in present-day Huzhou City, eastern China's Zhejiang Province.

The Wucheng Han Slips are objects left by the Wucheng County Office during the Han Dynasty (202 BC-220 AD), with nearly 400 pieces collected.

Bamboo and wooden slips were the main media for writing documents in China before the widespread introduction of paper.

The content of these wooden slips mainly consists of official documents, administrative affairs, and public and private letters, covering various fields such as politics, economy, culture, and military affairs at that time.

The documentary will focus on this significant discovery, explore and explain the slips' cultural values.

In recent years, CMG continued to create and launch many quality cultural programs, aiming to promote excellent Chinese traditional culture.

According to those who participated in the ceremony, the filming of the documentary will encourage the local government to improve protecting and researching on its historical and cultural heritages, such as Wucheng Han Slips, so that more people could "experience Chinese culture in Huzhou, and see beautiful China in Huzhou."
