Mongolian President Ukhnaa Khurelsukh will pay a state visit to China from November 27 to 28 at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying announced on Tuesday.

This is Khurelsukh's first state visit to China as president, which continues the friendly tradition of the close high-level exchanges between the two countries, and reflects the high-level development of the China-Mongolia comprehensive strategic partnership, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian said at a regular press briefing on Tuesday.

Taking this visit as an opportunity, Zhao said China stands ready to work with Mongolia to further deepen the strategic mutual trust and practical cooperation between the two countries, set a good example of the neighboring relations, and promote the China-Mongolia relations towards a new step.

According to Zhao, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Khurelsukh will hold official talks during the visit and they will jointly witness the signing of cooperation documents.

Khurelsukh will also meet with Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and China's National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee Chairman Li Zhanshu during his visit.

The two leaders will exchange views on bilateral relations and international and regional affairs of mutual concern, aimed at jointly planning the blueprint of the future development of the China-Mongolia relations, Zhao said.

Khurelsukh paid a state visit to China in 2018 as Mongolian Prime Minister and was elected president of Mongolia in June, 2021.
