Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel in Moscow on Tuesday, RIA Novosti news agency reported.
They took part in a unveiling ceremony of a monument to Fidel Castro in Moscow. Putin said at the ceremony that friendship between Russia and Cuba is a common property of both countries, and the states will jointly further strengthen their union.
After the ceremony, Putin held a meeting with his Cuban counterpart, who is on an official visit to Moscow.
