Bus collision kills 37 in northeast Nigeria

A total of 37 people were killed on Tuesday when two buses collided head-on and caught fire in Nigeria's northeastern state of Borno, according to local police.

The Federal Road Safety Corps sector commander told reporters that excessive speed caused the accident, saying that one of the buses lost control, veered off its path, and rammed into the other.

A mass burial will be held on Wednesday.
