Portugal's 3-2 win over Ghana was almost blown due to the mistakes their defenders kept making. Offensively, Cristiano Ronaldo gave the team a good start, but it was Bruno Fernandes that made the decisive plays for Portugal.
Brazil's dominance of Serbia was bigger than the 2-0 score showed. Richarlison's second goal made a good contender for goal of the tournament. However, when Neymar exited the game for injury at the end of the game, the whole country felt a chill down their spines.
Switzerland's 1-0 win over Cameroon gave them an obvious advantage in the qualification race in Group G.
The scoreless competition between Uruguay and South Korea showed how much the two sides have to work on in both creating and exploiting opportunities.
