Eight people were killed on Saturday after heavy rains caused a landslide on the Italian island of Ischia, Italian news agency ANSA reported, citing the local authorities.

In Casamicciola Terme, on the north of the island, "a landslide engulfed a house, and searches are underway for possible missing persons", according to the report.
