Ukrainian officials claimed they have managed to restore most of the electricity to the capital city of Kyiv, even as Russian strikes hit cities across southern Ukraine and intense fighting continues in the Donetsk region. Meanwhile, Russia's Defense Ministry said Russian forces had repelled Ukrainian advances in the eastern Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
