Emergency outages have been applied throughout Ukraine, Ukrainian state-run energy company Ukrenergo announced on Monday.

"As of 10:00 a.m. on November 28, due to a steep increase in the power deficit, emergency outages have been applied throughout Ukraine. The reason for the increase in power shortages was emergency power outages in several power plants," the company said.
