Steven Back, a Hungarian designer, has lived in Shanghai for nearly 18 years. His journey with China started in 2005 when he fell in love with the country's natural beauty and decided to pursue his career in Shanghai. He describes the Chinese Dream in three key words: openness, development and happiness. He says the Chinese Dream is about paying homage to China's glorious past spanning several millennia, making people more conscious and educated about the history and the role in the world in the past, the present and the future. It is also about making the Chinese more self-confident and prouder of China's achievements and even more about imagining and fulfilling China's future potential.
