Russia will propose new dates for consultations on the New Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (New START) with the United States, RIA news agency reported on Tuesday, citing Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov.

Ryabkov added that the consultations will not be held before the end of the year.

The U.S. and Russia on Monday confirmed that the consultations, supposed to be held from November 29 to December 6 in Cairo, would be postponed.
