Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday sent a congratulatory letter to the fourth China-Russia Energy Business Forum.
Energy cooperation between China and Russia is an important cornerstone of bilateral practical cooperation, and a positive force for safeguarding global energy security, said Xi.
Noting that China and Russia have stepped up communication and coordination to promote major cooperation projects, he said it demonstrates the strong resilience of energy cooperation between the two sides.
It also shows the broad prospects of bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination in the new era, he added.
China is ready to work with Russia to forge closer energy cooperation partnership and promote clean and green energy development, said the Chinese president, calling for joint efforts in making new contributions to the long-term, healthy and sustainable development of the international energy market.
On the same day, Russian President Vladimir Putin also sent a congratulatory letter to the forum.
