Jilin Province recently announced the latest data from the survey of migratory waterbirds launched in autumn. A total of 81 species of waterfowl with more than 629,000 birds have been recorded so far. Among them, there are more than 14,000 birds of 8 species under national first-class protection. Jilin Province is an important node in the "East Asia-Australasia" passage of the world's bird migration, and it is an important breeding ground and habitat for migratory birds in China. These surveys are of great significance for effectively protecting migratory bird habitats, monitoring and controlling epidemics, and scientifically formulating protection policies.
