A fire caused by an explosion in the Turkish port of Samsun has been extinguished, and there are no casualties, Samsun city's government said on Friday.

"Due to the heating, an explosion occurred in one of the fuel tanks in the port of Samsun. The fire was extinguished by the fire brigade in a short time, and there were no victims," the government said in a statement.
