Negotiations with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on the creation of a security zone around the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant (NPP) are ongoing, TASS news agency reported on Friday, citing Alexei Likhachev, director general of Russia's State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom.

A security zone around the Zaporizhzhia NPP should be created as soon as possible, he added.
