A freight train loaded with fruits from Thailand and Laos departed the Lao capital of Vientiane and entered China via Mohan Port on December 2. It is the first train dedicated specifically to fruit transportation to run along the China-Laos Railway, which went into operation on December 3, 2021. The train features 25 refrigerated containers filled with Thai longans, Lao bananas and other fruits, with a total value of more than $783,000. The China-Laos Railway is the first international rail project built with Chinese investment and the full application of Chinese management and technical standards.
