A massive plume of smoke billowed over Washington as fire engulfed a vacant building in the southeast of the U.S. capital on Saturday. The D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department said the blaze at King Avenue Southeast was a two-alarm fire and about 20 units and 100 personnel worked to contain it. By Saturday evening, the department said the fire was under control and no injuries were reported.
