On Sunday, precipitation continued in southern China, with light snow or sleet in some areas of Hubei Province and other places. In a few days, precipitation in the south is forecast to decrease. Temperatures remain low in most parts of China, but are expected to gradually warm up next week.
Under the influence of cold air and warm humid airflow, precipitation increased again in the south on Saturday. Monitoring shows that areas such as central Jiangxi, northwestern Fujian, Zhejiang and Shanghai saw moderate to heavy rain, with heavy rain in Fuzhou, Jiangxi and Nanping in Fujian.
On Sunday, the southern precipitation coverage is still wide. Hubei and other places are experiencing light snow or rain snow. On Tuesday, most of the country is set for sparse rain and snow.
The Central Weather Station expects that on Sunday, the northern mountains of Xinjiang and the western mountains of southern Xinjiang, southern Ningxia, southern Shaanxi mountains, western Hubei, western and northeastern Sichuan, northern Chongqing, southern Henan, western Anhui and other parts of the region will have a little snow or rain. Jianghuai, Jiangnan, eastern and southern Hubei, most of Guangxi and other places will have light rain, of which, southern Anhui, Zhejiang and other local areas will have moderate rain (10 to 15 mm).
On Monday, there will be light snow or sleet in parts of northern and western Xinjiang mountains, eastern Tibet and other areas, with moderate snow (2.5 to 4 mm) in the mountainous areas of Altai, Xinjiang. Northern and eastern Zhejiang, northeastern Fujian, most of Taiwan island, southern Yunnan, the southern Sichuan Basin and other parts of the region will have light rain.
On Tuesday, the northern Xinjiang and southern Xinjiang mountains, northeastern Inner Mongolia, northern Heilongjiang, eastern Tibet, southern Gansu, the western Sichuan plateau, central Shaanxi, western Henan and other parts of the region will have light snow or rain snow. The Southern Sichuan Basin, most of Guizhou, central and western Hunan, northern Jiangxi, southern Yunnan, Taiwan and other parts of the region will have light rain.
Meteorologists say the recent precipitation in the south is more frequent and advise paying special attention to traffic safety. Many areas in the north are dry, so caution over fire and electricity safety is advised. In addition, Yunnan is currently in a dry season, so take caution against the risk of forest fires.
